Pillo Alvarez
Worship Leader
Ministry and Leadership Experience
Pillo Alvarez has served as the Worship Leader for Lighthouse Church since 2014. Before his tenure at Lighthouse, Pillo worked in music and youth ministries. At Piedras Vivas Church in Miami and Christ the King in Sweetwater, Pillo served as the worship leader for both Spanish and English services. He was involved with the youth ministry, helping to grow talent through involving young people in his music projects. He was integral in planting Christ the King Church.
Mission and Impact
Pillo’s passion and mission is to spread the gospel through music. Along with his worship services, Pillo has been involved with projects that vary from ska to salsa to singer-songwriter. Music has given Pillo the opportunity to travel the world, ministering to people where they are.
Family and Support
Pillo credits his wife Ceci for his success, citing her patience and commitment to prayer. He is supported by his two children—Chris and Cindy—and his four grandchildren. Chris and Cindy, as well as his son-in-law Patrick, are an important part of Lighthouse Church’s praise team and have worked with him on other music projects.
Fun Facts
Pillo is a 5 time pickleball champion and is active with the sport when not working. He enjoys visiting Disney World and even got to perform at Pleasure Island and Epcot.
